Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026.
The short version. Plannit helps you and your groups find a time to meet. You own what you put in and you choose who sees it. Be decent to the people you plan with. The date finder works from the calendar information you give it and can be wrong, so check before you rely on a time. Plannit is free today; if paid features arrive, they are optional and billed through the App Store.
These terms are an agreement between you and Plannit ("Plannit", "we", "us") covering the Plannit app and the plannittogether.com website (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who can use Plannit
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You may not use Plannit if the law forbids you from doing so.
2. Your account
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at support@plannittogether.com if you think someone else has got into your account. An account is for one person; do not share it or create accounts for anyone else.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, except where it results from our own failure.
3. What the service does, and what it cannot promise
Plannit lets you form groups, share plans and events with them, and suggest times when everyone is free. To make those suggestions, the app uses the busy periods worked out from your phone's calendar, as the privacy policy describes, along with the rules you and your group set.
The date finder is a suggestion tool. It can only be as accurate as the calendars it reads: an event missing from a calendar, a calendar you have not given Plannit access to, or a phone that has not synced recently can all make a busy time look free. Confirm a time with the people involved before you rely on it. When Plannit cannot check someone's availability, it says so rather than treating them as free, but it cannot catch every gap.
Plannit is not a party to the plans you make. Meeting people, travelling to a plan, and anything you arrange or pay for with others are between you and them. Take the precautions you would take for any meeting.
4. Your content
"Your content" means what you add to Plannit: your name and profile photo, groups, plans, events, votes, replies and messages. You keep ownership of it.
You give Plannit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the service — for example, to show a plan to the group you shared it with, or to send a notification about it. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies the people you shared with have already received and backups kept for a limited time.
You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to share it. Plannit may remove content that breaks these terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Plannit to:
- harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, or share someone else's private information without their permission;
- post content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent who you are;
- send spam or unsolicited invitations, or guess friend codes or invite links to reach people who did not share them with you;
- access other people's data, test or bypass security, or use the service in a way that harms it or its users;
- scrape the service, create accounts by automated means, or access it other than through the app, the website, or interfaces we provide;
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows this despite these terms.
If something in Plannit breaks these rules, tell us at support@plannittogether.com.
6. Your licence to use the app
Plannit gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the store rules of the platform you got it from. The app, its design, its name and its code belong to Plannit; these terms do not give you any rights in them beyond this licence.
7. Paid features
Plannit is free today. Finding a date, the number and size of your groups, and calendar sync will stay free. If optional paid features are introduced, their price and what they include will be shown before you buy. Purchases are made and billed through the App Store or the app store you use, under its terms; subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account settings, and refunds are handled by that store.
8. Other services
Plannit relies on other services to work, such as Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In and Apple's notification service, and may link to other websites. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and Plannit is not responsible for them.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the You tab in the app. What deletion removes is set out in the privacy policy.
Plannit may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or exposes Plannit to legal liability. Where it is reasonable and safe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. We may also change or discontinue parts of the service; if we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Sections 4 (for content already shared), 10, 11, 12 and 13 continue after your account ends.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, Plannit makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every suggested time will suit everyone, or that notifications will always arrive.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Plannit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. This includes losses from a missed, double-booked or cancelled plan.
To the extent the law allows, Plannit's total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Plannit in the 12 months before the claim and US $50.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where they do not, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
12. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against Plannit because of your content or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, please contact us at support@plannittogether.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Plannit agree to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring an eligible claim in small claims court. If you live outside the United States, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
14. Apps downloaded from Apple's App Store
If you got Plannit from Apple's App Store, these additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and Plannit only, not Apple. Plannit, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Plannit, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, Plannit, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app, such as your mobile carrier's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top. For a change that materially affects your rights, we will also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Plannit after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
16. General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Plannit about the service. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part straight away, we have not waived it. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; Plannit may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganisation or sale of the service, including to a company formed to operate Plannit.
